West Loop Early History

Kuma's Corner

One of the more unique hotspots in the entire West Loop. Here, they are known for three things: burgers, beer and metal. Their ethos is simple: Support Your Community. Eat Beef. Bang Your Head.

The brains behind Bonci is esteemed Roman pizzaiolo Gabriele Bonci. He only has restaurants in Rome and Chicago. Lucky us! Gabriele’s approach to pizza is “quality without compromise.”

Nonna's / Formento's

Owner John Ross and Executive Chef Todd Stein, bring a sense of warmth, family and unforgettable food to his restaurants that is reminiscent of Sunday family dinners at grandma's house.

Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken

Here they aspire to their name. Their goal is to create simple food that is excellent. They want to do it right, so they put that ethos right into the name so they never forget, Do –Rite.

Cemitas Puebla

Cemitas Puebla, a family owned restaurant specializing in traditional Poblano foods, the distinctive sesame covered rolls are baked on site each day, using a recipe that can be traced back to Tony Anteliz’s family in Puebla, Mexico.
