Have you caught World Cup fever yet?

We have, and it's spreading like wild fire. In fact, Chicago Food Planet's founder, Shane Kost, in the paste travelled to Brazil just to experience the World Cup first hand. That's dedication right there.

You can get into the World Cup spirit right here in Chicago. Here are some local places that'll make you feel like you're right there in the stadium. Well, almost.

Haymarket Pub & Brewery

If you prefer your World Cup with a side of local craft beer, Haymarket has you covered. They'll be showing the World Cup games while pouring some of their award-winning beers. Check their Facebook page for more details.

Chop Shop 1st Ward

This massive, 6,000 square foot space has room for you and all your soccer-crazed friends, and then some. Watch the games on the 30-foot projection screen while seated at massive community tables or bleachers brought in exclusively for the World Cup. Plus, they're also offering beer and food specials, including $4 Revolution drafts and "international encased meats." Starting June 17, this hybrid meat shop and restaurant will project all of the World Cup games featuring Brazil. Celebrate the country with Brazilian food, music and beverages.

The Globe Pub

This north side bar takes its soccer seriously, voted Best Soccer Bar in the U.S. by the U.S. Soccer Association several years in a row. So whether you're a seasoned soccer fan or just a World Cup tagalong, you can get a best-in-class "football" viewing experience right on Irving Park. Check their Facebook page for more details.
